With exhibitions back up and running, you may be finding yourself at a large-scale event for the first time in a very long time. Or maybe for the first time ever! Rife with competition, it essential that your signage and design is on point for your exhibition stand. You have mere seconds to attract people’s attention before they move on. Inadequate exhibition signage can lose customers and give a negative impression of your business. So, what do you need to do avoid this? Let’s take a look:
Stand out from the crowd
It might seem like an obvious point, but you want to make sure your stand stands apart from the rest. The main goal at any exhibition is to make your business and brand known. So, by producing something that piques people’s interest you are going to pull them onto your stand and in turn generate customers and hopefully revenue. You want to give serious consideration to high impact signage and displays promoting who you are and what product or service you are selling. This is the perfect opportunity to dare to be different. So, give thought to imagery and bold colours! And ensure logos are clear and any fonts are clean – and ideally legible from a distance.
Know what you are selling
It’s all well and good creating something eye catching. But it needs to have a purpose. Make sure your design doesn’t detract from your core messaging; who you are and what you are selling, whether that’s a product or a service. People want ‘wow’ but they also want to know what they’re buying into. Otherwise, the ‘wow’ won’t lead to anything more than appreciation of good signage and might even lead to confusion which could put people off choosing to enter your stand.
Choose your sign type
Exhibitions lend themselves to prominent branding with bright colours and bold design that can be seen from a distance, as they are the best way to communicate your message. There are lots of different options when it comes to exhibition signage and displays with a wide variety of choice.
Roller & Pull Up Banners/Display; are one of the most popular types of signage that can be used anywhere – inside or outside – making them ideal of exhibitions and events. They’re inexpensive, sleek in design, and super easy to set up!
Portable Displays & Backdrops; provide a larger display area making them ideal to have to the back of the stand, such as behind a counter. Some even work well as video backdrops creating much more impact than a single image.
Hanging Displays; work well if you want to add a little height to your exhibition stand, creating the perfect space for a large logo, so people can find you stand anywhere in the exhibition hall!
Media Centres; work well if you are short on space. You can pull all you need into a small area, with space for graphics, a large LCD screen and a counter, as well as a lockable door to the rear for any promotional giveaways.
And once you have people onto your stand, give thought to Ipad holders, literature holders, and popup counters/towers which are pretty useful for promotional giveaways and interactive demonstrations.
